Traffic Control Measures to Start Sept. 9 for Venice Dual Force Main Project

Traffic control measures at Via Dolce and Marquesas Way for the Venice Dual Force Main project will begin Sept. 9, according to the Los Angeles Department of Public Works.

Southbound Marquesas Way will be limited to one lane. Parking will be prohibited between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Marquesas Way, north of Via Dulce. (See diagram above.)

The traffic control measures are part of the next phase in the construction of a new 54-inch diameter force main sewer line for Venice. Throughout September and October, crews will be preparing the site, installing fencing and a sound wall, and more. (Download the construction notification for more details.)

Residents in the area should expect noise from the heavy equipment and drilling, construction traffic and minimal vibration due to concrete and asphalt demolition.

Additionally, traffic control measures will be instituted along Via Marina on Sept. 23.
