OVERNIGHT PARKING POLICY

OVERSIZED VEHICLES | Over 40 feet:

1. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING (10 p.m. – 6 a.m.) allowed for any oversized vehicles over 40 feet long (RVs, buses, trailers, vans).
2. Any violating vehicle – parked in a County lot after 10 pm – will be cited and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
3. “Oversized” means over 40 feet long, including RVs, campers, buses, shuttles, vans, and trucks. Length includes anything being towed.
4. Day parking only, 6 AM – 10 PM, at the Marina del Rey Launch Ramp (Lot #2). Oversized vehicles may not park in any other Marina lot.
5. Trailers must stay hitched. Unhitched trailers are prohibited in all County lots; hitched trailers may park only at Marina Lot 2 (Boat Launch).
6. No sleeping or camping in any vehicle, at any time, in any lot.
7. Advance approval is no longer offered.

REGULAR VEHICLES | Under 40 feet:

1. Overnight parking allowed at County-operated 24-hour lots, maximum any 7 nights in any 30-day period (consecutive or not).
2. Display a separate paid receipt, face-up on the driver’s-side dashboard, for each 24-hour period.
3. Park within one marked space only.
4. Exceeding the 7-night limit may result in citation and/or towing at owner’s expense.
5. No sleeping or camping in any vehicle, at any time, in any lot.

Unhitched Trailers:

• No unhitched trailers are allowed to be parked in any public County-operated parking lot.
• The trailer must be attached to the tow vehicle at all times.
• Vehicles with attached trailers may only park at the Marina del Rey Launch Ramp (Lot #2).

NO overnight parking is allowed on any L.A. County-operated beach parking lots, except for RVs at the Dockweiler State Beach RV Park.
