To slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect the public and our employees, the Department of Beaches and Harbors (DBH) has closed its beach parking lots and public facilities until further notice. A list of facility closures for all Los Angeles County departments is available online at lacounty.gov/covid19/closures.
Beaches and Beach Facilities
Marvin Braude Bike Trail (Beach Bike Path)—The Marvin Braude Bike Trail, also known as the beach bike path, is currently open.
Beach Restrooms & Showers—Some beach restrooms and showers are open.
Beach Parking Lots—Reopened LA County beach parking lots (at limited capacity) include those at the following locations:
- Torrance Beach
- Dockweiler State Beach (Grand Avenue and Imperial Highway)
- Will Rogers State Beach
- Malibu Surfrider Beach
- Point Dume
- Zuma Beach
Parking Lots —Some beach parking lots are closed until further notice.
Fire Pits at Dockweiler Beach — All fire pits at Dockweiler Beach have been removed, until further notice.

Dockweiler Youth Center—The Youth Center is closed to the public. All meetings and other gatherings are canceled until further notice. Staff members are available to respond to concerns/questions. Call 310-726-4131 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dockweiler RV Park—The RV Park is closed to the public. No reservations are being taken at this time. Staff members are available to respond to questions about reservation cancellations and other concerns. Call 310-322-4951 or email reservations_RVPark@bh.lacounty.gov.
Marina del Rey Offices and Facilities
Boat Launch—The boat launch at 13477 Fiji Way is open as long as members of the public who use it practice safe social distancing by staying at least 6 feet apart.
Burton W. Chace Park—The park is open to members of the public, as long as visitors abide by the Health Officer’s order prohibiting group gatherings of any size. Visitors must also practice safe physical distancing by staying at least 6 feet apart.
Burton Chace Park Community Room and Boathouse in Marina del Rey—The BCP Community Room and Boathouse are CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. ALL MEETINGS AND OTHER GATHERINGS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Staff is onsite to rent boater transient docks, take facility reservations 90-days out, respond to concerns/questions. Call 424-526-7910 or email email@example.com.
Marina “Mother’s” Beach—The beach is OPEN for active recreational use, such as launching watercraft from, and subject to additional health & safety rules & restrictions*. However, the following amenities all remain CLOSED until further notice:

Marina del Rey Visitor Center—The Visitor Center is closed to the public until further notice. Staff is available to provide information and assistance to visitors and other members of the public. Call 424-526-7900 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Department Administrative Offices—The Department of Beaches and Harbors’ administration building in the Marina is closed to the public until further notice. Staff is onsite to conduct business, respond to customer questions and concerns, and perform other operational functions. Call 424-526-7728 or email email@example.com.

Boating Section—Boating Section offices are closed to public access until further notice. Staff is onsite to conduct business, respond to customer questions and concerns and for code enforcement. Call 424-526-7890 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Financial Services Section—The Financial Services building in the Marina is closed to the public. Boat slip and other monthly rent payments can be dropped in the mail slot at the front of the building. Staff is on site to respond to concerns/questions. Call 424-526-7792
