COASTAL PARTNER PLEDGE

Marine mammals are an important part of Los Angeles County’s coastal environment and public shoreline experience. In recent years, our region has seen an increase in marine mammal strandings linked to harmful algae blooms, domoic acid, climate impacts, and other environmental stressors.  

We need your help to get marine mammals in distress the emergency services they need!

By taking the Coastal Partners Pledge, you are committing to support a more coordinated, informed, and effective response to marine mammal rescue incidents in Los Angeles County. 

• Help share timely, accurate information during marine mammal rescue events
• Support response efforts in ways that make sense for your organization or role
• Be ready to help during large-scale stranding events when possible
• Promote public awareness about how to safely and responsibly respond to marine wildlife
• Work together with partners across the region to protect marine mammals
