Marina Spooktacular… Halloween by the Harbor!

There’s fun and scares for all ages, but the frights intensify as night falls over Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey during this two-day festival.

• Saturday, October 26 | 4:00–10:00 p.m.
• Sunday, October 27 | 4:00–10:00 p.m.

Ages: Activities for all ages & scare levels!

Cost: Admission is FREE with RSVP, but a Liability Waiver Form* is required for each participant**.

This is a fun event filled with activities for all ages & scare levels!

What activities are suitable for all ages?

• Halloween Themed Face Painting Stations: Face painted masks, designs, for kids and adults, with sheen and sparkles.
Digital Photo Booth + Lots of Spoooky Photo Ops
Enjoy a free movie screening of Hocus Pocus as part of Marina Movie Nights. Showtime: Saturday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m.
Take a ride on the Marina del Rey WaterBus for the most scenic way to get around the Marina for only $1 per person, per destination. Enjoy special WaterBus hours on both days, 2–11 p.m.

What activities are suitable for children?

•  Graveyard Treasure Hunt: An immersive, interactive, walk-through graveyard with spooky gates, scary props, and ghoulish tombstones.  Special treasure scavenger hunts scheduled each day at:  5:00 p.m. | 6:15 p.m. | 7:15 p.m.
•  Attractions | Carnival & Sports Games, Giant Inflatable Slide, Kids Giant Grid Maze, Buccaneer Pirate Ship, Fun House Obstacle Course
•  Halloween Themed Face Painting Stations: Face painted masks, designs, for kids and adults, with sheen and sparkles.
•  Arts & Crafts Station 

Are there activities with a high scare level?

•  Haunted Blackout Maze of Terror (Beware: High scare level!): For the true Halloween enthusiast who loves to experience the disorientation, scares, effects, and immersion of going through an intensely terrifying haunted blackout maze.  For the patron who really loves Halloween and an authentic Haunt.
•  Scare Zones:  Be ready for this intense scare experience.

Will there be live entertainment?

• Master Juggler | Jack Skellington roams the park, on & off stilts and showing-off astounding juggling tricks!  And don’t miss the “glow-in-the-dark” juggling at 6:00-9:00 p.m.
• Magic & Illusion | Master of Magic & Illusion will roam the park, performing close-up magic. Plus, staged magic shows both days (see schedule below):
5:00 p.m. | Kids Show, with fun & kids appeal
7:00 p.m. |  Spooooktacular Halloween Stage Show** Special Feature! Features highlights: The Hammer Smasher, The Ghost, and The Head Chopper of Doom
• Scare Actors and Fun-Friendly Actors

Will there be strobe lights?

Yes, strobe lights will be used in designated areas.

Is there an admission fee?

There is no admission fee; however, all participants** must complete a Liability Waiver Form*.
*Online Waivers | For Fastest Entry:
    • RSVP on Eventbrite to accept the online liability waiver and we’ll scan your tickets.
    • Or bring your completed Liability Waiver forms with you.  Otherwise, you can fill out a form in person.
**Minors must be listed on a Liability Waiver Form signed by their parent/guardian.

Do I need to print my tickets If I completed the online waiver via Eventbrite?

There’s no need to print copies of your Eventbrite tickets. You just need to show us the QR code and we’ll scan your tickets upon check-in.

Will food be available at the event?

Food can be purchased from the gourmet food trucks on-site.

Is there an ATM nearby?

There is a Chase Bank and ATMs located at the end of Mindanao Way, at 4676 Admiralty Way, Suite 100.

Do you have a Lost and Found?

Please visit the Burton Chace Park office to inquire about any lost or found items. Additionally, you can email events@bh.lacounty.gov with any questions regarding lost and found items during the event.

What are the prohibited items at the event?

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Cigarettes, vapes
  • Illegal substances (including narcotics) or drug paraphernalia
  • Medical or recreational use marijuana
  • Alcohol
  • Aerosol cans or sprays
  • Fireworks, sparklers, or incendiary devices
  • Tents, canopies, umbrellas of any kind
  • Video recording equipment
  • Professional still camera equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, large zoom lenses, and/or commercial-use camera assemblies)
  • Drones
  • Audio recording equipment
  • Focused-light devices, including laser pointers
  • Items intended for sale/promotion
  • Any item that can be used as a means to disturb the peace, endanger the safety of the crowd, and/or inflict damage to people and goods
