VETERANS PARKING
Vehicles displaying a valid veterans special license plate may park for free at LA County-operated beach and Marina del Rey parking lots on weekdays (Monday – Friday). Free parking is not available on weekends or holidays.
Free parking for vehicles with veterans plates is not allowed under the following conditions:
- on weekends or County holidays (actual or observed), other than Veterans Day
- at certain lots when the gate arm is down and there is no parking attendant present
People with valid veterans license plates must pay the full parking lot fees on County holidays (except Veterans Day) and weekends.

CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS DISTINGUISHED VETERANS PASS
We realize that the State Parks Distinguished Veterans pass is popular. Unfortunately, this pass is not accepted at any of the Dockweiler State Beach and Will Rogers State Beach parking lots. While the beaches do belong to the state, they are operated by Los Angeles County. We do not receive any compensation from State Parks for their operation. Parking fees help offset the cost of beach and facilities maintenance, such as cleaning the restrooms and trash pickup.
