For more information about a parking citation, call the Los Angeles County Office of Parking Violations toll free at 866-561-9744. Otherwise, walk in to one of four public service center locations, open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday:

APPEAL A PARKING CITATION

Parking citation tucked under a windshield wiper

This form can be used only to appeal a Parking Citation given in a parking lot managed by the Department of Beaches and Harbors. All appeals must be mailed to the address on the form. No walk-in appeals will be accepted. This form cannot be used to appeal a parking citation from any other organization or agency. Please call 866-561-9744 for mailing information.

The Department of Beaches and Harbors cites for parking violations based on the Los Angeles County code and the California Vehicle Code.

CODE VIOLATION CITATIONS

People who don’t follow beach rules may receive a citation for a code violation. Common code violations include:

  • Dogs Prohibited On Beach (LACC 17.12.290)
  • Soliciting or Selling Merchandise Prohibited (LACC 17.12.340)
  • License/Permit Required for Organized Events and Activity (LACC 17.12.345)
  • Fires Prohibited (LACC 17.12.370)

CODE VIOLATION FEES

  • First Offense: $100
  • Second Offense: $200
  • Third Offense: $500

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment in full must be received within 30 days of the date of your violation.
