ThePlanning Division acts as the liaison between the Department and the Design Control Board (DCB) for any new design development or existing design modifications within unincorporated Marina del Rey. This includes new development renovations, repainting, signage, re-landscaping, etc.

Temporary Signs, Banners and Tents

Temporary signs, banners and tents are only permitted with Department approval. Temporary permits are granted for a period of 30 days, with the option for one additional 30-day extension. Temporary permits may be requested for events such as "grand openings" and special occasions, which may occur from time to time throughout the year. Applicants wishing to obtain a temporary permit must submit the form below, completed in full, to the Planning Division (contact information is listed on the form). Please allow sufficient time for processing; as temporary permits are not granted "over the counter". Please note that tents will require additional permits from the Fire Department and the Building & Safety Division of the Department of Public Works. Temporary Permits are allowed at the discretion of the Department; Design Control Board approval is not required
