Marina del Rey Visioning - On October 28, 2014, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved the Vision Statement for Marina del Rey. Summer Use License Applications Accepted on First-Come, First-Served Basis - Use Licenses will be awarded to qualified operators on a first-come, first-served basis provided all applicable fees are paid and all application and minimum safety requirements are met. A maximum of five Use Licenses per operator, including any other Use License(s) obtained from the Department.

PRESS RELEASE from Assessor's Office - June 19, 2012 - The L.A. County Board of Supervisors have appointed Beaches and Harbors Director Santos H. Kreimann as acting head of the county’s Office of the Assessor while elected Assessor John R. Noguez is on a leave of absence.

LACO Board of Supervisors' to Accept $1.5 Million in Coastal Impact Assistance Program Funds - The County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution authorizing receipt of a $1.5 million grant from the US Fish & Wildlife Service's Coastal Impact Assistance Program to help fund projects such as: MdR Parking Lots 5 & 7 Water Quality Enhancement, Oxford Basin Multi-Use Enhancement, MdR LCP Periodic Review, & the Will Rogers State Beach Coastline Project.

Link to the US Army Corps of Engineers' Marina del Rey Dredging Information - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began a $13 million dredging project April 5, 2012, that will remove up to one million cubic yards of accumulated sand from the entrance channel to Marina del Rey Harbor and improve navigational safety for area first responders and other boating traffic.

County Updates Master Bike Plan after 35 Years - After 37 years, Los Angeles County finally has a new bicycle master plan that will create a more cycling-friendly environment in unincorporated areas by adding 832 miles of new bikeways to the existing 144-mile network by 2032, at an estimated cost of $331 million.
