Notice of Coastal Development Permit Extension Request for Parcel 9 (NE corner of Via Marina & Tahiti Way)
- The Department has applied for a one year extension of the Coastal Development Permit for site preparation work, construction, and ongoing maintenance of a public upland, wetland park, and an adjacent 28'-wide waterfront public pedestrian promenade at Parcel 9, located at the NE corner of Via Marina and Tahiti Way. Topics include completion of the Enhanced Watershed Management Plans, proposed methods for water quality improvement by watershed, and projected increases to local water supply as a result of rainwater harvesting and stormwater capture. BOATERS - Help Keep Marina del Rey and Santa Monica Bay CLEAN!
- The Department of Beaches and Harbors has partnered with the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation to create a proposed “Clean Harbors” outreach effort designed to raise public and boater awareness about their connection to water quality issues affecting Marina del Rey, as well as to mitigate water quality degradation by influencing the behavior of marina users through workshops and targeted publications.
