Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguards will be instructing this 5-day Ocean-Sports Camp. Ocean-Sports Camp is designed to offer young people the opportunity to experience and acquire skills in a wide variety of recreational activities including: SURFING, SAILING, KAYAKING AND BODY BOARDING. The daily schedule normally involves ocean skills in the morning sessions and boating skills in the afternoon; this is modified dependent on weather, surf conditions and class interest.

The curriculum includes instruction for each sport and an emphasis on ocean safety; this is a self-paced, noncompetitive activity. Participants must provide their own snacks and lunches. All equipment is provided for the activities. Personal surfboards & wetsuits may be used; but they are the responsibility of the owner. There will be a minimum of two Lifeguard instructors to a maximum of eighteen participants. Participants are transported to the daily activity sites in L.A. County 15 passenger pool vans with seatbelts; all vehicles are driven by D.M.V. certified drivers. In the event of inclement weather or unsafe water conditions, camp cancellation may occur. Notification will be made as soon as possible, prorated refund by day will be issued.
Participants exhibiting unacceptable behavior while at camp, may be subject to suspension or dismissal without refund.
