Venice Dual Force Main Project Pre-Construction Activities
Pre-construction activities on the Venice Dual Force Main project are scheduled to start April 24 and are expected to continue through June 30. The new force main sewer, which will be constructed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, will supplement the existing 50-year-old force main sewer. It will cross Grand Canal from the Venice Pump Plant and continue east along Marquesas Way to Via Marina, then travel south across the Marina del Rey and Ballona Creek channels to Vista del Mar.
Expected construction hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in most areas. During the construction period, motorists should expect minor, daily short-term traffic diversions throughout the work area. Traffic will be maintained for local access at all times. Driveway access will be maintained for businesses and residents for deliveries and trash pickup.
